This base was and still remains one of Americas most highly classified and top secret installations, that officially doesn't and never did exist. Well it was the most top secret base until they decided it attracted way too much publicity and it has now moved to somewhere else.
This satellite photo seen above of Area 51 was secretly acquired by Russia's Space Information KVR-1000 satellite system in the year 2000. The Area 51 images were acquired as part of a deal with Sovinformsputnik, The Russian Aviation and Space Agency.

In May 1989 Bob Lazar who was once a technician at Area 51 spoke about the base on live TV in Las Vegas. Since this broadcast the interest surrounding Area 51 has never dwindled.
Guesswork or Truth ?
It is speculated and quite accurately I believe, that Area 51 is a military base that builds and tests secret new Hi-tech aircraft and is also involved with all manner of secret research into aviation and other practices.
It has also been rumored for many years that Area 51 carries out research on so called UFO's that have either been captured, discovered or shot down ! and that Alien technology is closely investigated at the base.
A movie called ' Hangar 18 ' was released some years ago that depicted the capture and investigation of a UFO within the confines of Area 51 and the film makers claimed the film was based around truth.
The big white building at the top of the photo in the image below, was determined by the Russians to be Hangar 18, it is the largest hangar within the confines or Area 51 and could quite easily house a jumbo jet ! or a Jumbo UFO !
Technology, it must be said, over the past few years with mobile telephone communications, CD's, computerized flight systems, laser optics, etc have appeared in rapid momentum.
It is impossible to access the base for what ever reason. The American government deny its existence and Area 51 is not located on any map. You will be arrested by the special security forces employed by the NSA who are surrounding this none existent base if you tried to enter it.
Area 51 is or was located close to the Nellis Airbase and ordnance testing range in Southern Nevada. It is the USA's biggest test facility for arms and ammunition. Area 51 was constructed south of a dry lake named Groom. The size of Area 51 actually covers an area of over 4,600 square miles or the size of some of the US's states alone !
The entire base including the Nellis Airbase is 12,500 square miles or the size of a European country !
In a way the US military have used nearly the entire desert of Nevada for their secretive purposes. It is the least dense populated place in the USA but close enough to the metropolitan area of Las Vegas where all of its employees are said to be housed.
The majority of Area 51's workers live in Las Vegas and are flown to the base from the ' Janet ' terminal of McCarran International Airport. The terminal is unmarked, fenced and heavily guarded by the same secret security unit that guards the perimeter of Area 51. The Janet airlines are a fleet of plane ( no pun intended ) unmarked 737-200's. There are from 10 to 20 flights each week day that take workers to and from Area 51 and the Tonopah Test Range (Area 52). Tonopah Test Range is also within the restricted area, about 60 miles to the northwest of Area 51.
Officially there are NO flights to groom, even though quite comically these planes can be seen taking off from the Casinos in South McCarran !
" Planes ? what planes ? I haven't seen any planes ! "
The CIA - Central Intelligence Agency - , first named Area 51 " Watertown " in about 1955. The cover story was that it was going to be an Atomic energy research facility and that its construction was part of the Atomic Energy Commission. In fact it was initially run by the CIA on behalf of Lockheed for its spy planes and it was colloquially known as either " The Dreamland " or the ' Skunk Works '. It wasn't until 1994 that the Government started to admit that there was a ' small ' facility there, when Area 51 workers were breaking their official state secrets act and filing lawsuits against the US because many were dying or had friends who had died due to exposure to toxic chemicals and 'strange ' substances.
Since 1958 it is believed the secret substances, toxic or otherwise have been burned at the facility when the work on them had expired. Nothing ever left the base.
To Counter these lawsuits the President at the time Mr Bill Clinton changed the laws of the state of Nevada saying that any military installations could not be sued. This is for the sake of national security reasons stated Mr Clinton and an exemption from prosecution order was slapped on the whole shebang. Then the entire lawsuit and private prosecutions issue was ignored as if nothing had happened and the cover up again started to shroud Area 51.
The workers may have had out of court settlements that also bought their silence.
Personally I find the whole cover up operation to be a joke of stupendous proportions, since the late 1980's the name ' Area 51 ' has almost been a household name, with films like Hangar 18, The X-Files, Stargate, Dark Skies and more recently William Shatners ( a.k.a Cpt Kirk ) " Groom lake " constantly mentioning the place or suggesting secret activity there. In fact there have been TV commercials, Hotels, Motels, programs, toys, drinks, road names, games, pictures, T-shirts, cups, pens, pencils and well almost anything all advertising the Secret base of Area 51.

Security At Area 51
What ever isn't there at Area 51, they don't want you to find it !
As anyone gets close to the perimeter they will be inundated with warning signs, this is the first simple barrier of defense, it gets worse...
...Along the vast perimeter of Area 51 the most super technologically fantastic security devices are used to detect, sense, see, smell, feel any people or movements in the vicinity.
As soon as anyone gets near to the perimeter a 4 by 4 truck will appear from its secret hidey hole alerted no doubt by many of the secret sensors. The Security Officer inside will monitor your movements. These Officers have had the name " Cammo Dudes " applied to them as they all wear camouflage pattern outfits.
This photo was taken presumably just before the photographer was chased away. It has been suggested that the Security is provided by a private company named EG & G Technical Services and work alongside The National Security Agency.

Sensors
Information about the devices that are used to detect trespassers are not readily available, but information that has been discovered are things like magnatometers. These can detect metallic objects that pass maybe 50-100 yards ( estimated ) near. Also geophones that detect vibrations of someone walking or driving near by. There are electrical-optic sensors that use laser beams to detect larger then animal presences along with amoniameters that can smell the air for human perspiration.
The sensor depicted in the image below is one of the magnetic sensor devices.
All of these sensors can it is believed determine the difference between animal and human presence.
Area 51 uses HH-60 ' Pave Hawk ' helicopters to patrol the perimeter and they will appear out of nowhere to investigate any suspicious activity. These helicopters are bristling with sensors and antenna of undisclosed origin. It is said that they are often prowling the air on a regular basis. How many helicopters are used is unknown to the outside world. Are the occupants armed ? I would at a guess say... Yes they are !
Unauthorized People who are discovered to close to the perimeters are warned off with threats of arrest with $1000 fines and threats of the use of deadly force is not unknown. As far as we know, no-one has ever been shot or shot at by these guards. If they did, they would most certainly cover it up...they are good at that type of thing.
It would not surprise me if I learned that the base had some sort of self destruct device in the shape of an Atomic bomb that could be detonated to destroy it if the threat of some kind of invasion took place by Russians or other forces. Or if one of their secret experiments into weapons research went belly up ! All the secrets would die with the place !
Amazing that all of these measures should be put into force at great expense to look after something that doesn't exist ?

What type of secrets ?
It must have become apparent to the US Government that it would be virtually impossible to keep such a large installation, with such ambitious projects a total secret from everyone. So quite simply they just deny everything. The Freedom Of Information Act does NOT cover Area 51. Is this a good idea ? Should the US government tell the world about developments of Hi-Tech aircraft etc when there are so many enemies willing to wage war on the States ?
If they would just admit that Area 51 exists and that it was because of national security that the place is off limits then you would not get much interest shown in the place. Its because they deny its existence that it has become the 8th wonder of the world.
What has been termed by witnesses as the ' Stealth Blimp '. It is supposed to be a huge triangular shaped vessel that is slightly transparent ( see electrochromatic panels further down the page ) and those who have seen this aircraft say that it resembles a blimp in size and basic motion.
This airship is estimated to be built along the same guidelines as the Stealth bomber.
It is thought that the blimp it is capable of super high altitudes. many sightings of this blimp have reported the ship flying at speed then executing a sharp right angle turn and speeding away only to stop relatively quickly. The majority of these ' test flights ' have been witnessed over the vicinity of Groom lake !
How it flies, what its made from, what fuels it uses is of course in typical Area 51 fashion highly classified, so much so that " it doesn't exist ", so a blanket denial on this as well ! surprise surprise !
There is a large contingent of the local community of Las Vegas and McCallan that spend hours even months or years watching the skies above the Nevada desert. People travel to Nevada especially to find what they can see in the skies in ' Area 51 sight seeing clubs ' . They are rarely disappointed !
If you are living in Nevada you can actually book with a company that will take you on one of these tours of the desert, to an area to where most sightings occur !
So much for Secrecy ! Its so funny when you think about it.

The Aurora X-33 type ?
This secret plane has been heard more than it has been seen in the skies above the Nevada desert due to the sonic booms that it creates as it cruises at an estimated mach 4, 2900 mph.
The people of Southern California were awakened by a noisy shockwave early in June 1991. Many thought it was an earthquake, ( great cover ! ) but it wasn't. It was a sonic boom from a plane traveling at Mach 4. The same thing happened on January 30, 1992 in the Mojave Desert. It was registered on the local seismographs as an earth tremor. Further investigation showed it was an unidentified object slowing down to Mach 3.1
It is triangular in shape and has been seen escorted by normal fighter planes until it accelerates and disappears due to the fantastic speeds it presumably can travel at ! It is believed that the plane can reach mach 20 ! that's 14,000 mph to you and me ! Some people believe that this is possible because they say that the utilisation of captured or donated space alien vessels have yielded many secrets. That, my dear viewers, 14,000 mph is around the world in just over a hour ! Has this already been accomplished ? Has the world flight speed record been obliterated ? I say yes in all probability and we may never know about it.

The Black Manta
The TR3A Black Manta or Baby B-2 is understood to be the successor to the Stealth Fighter. Sightings around Area 51 are starting to be made of a smooth, rounded flying wing that is much smaller than a Stealth Bomber. Faster and more stealthy than the F-117, some believe it has already seen combat in Afghanistan. It supposedly works in tandem with the Stealth Fighter, relaying target information.
Although of course non of this can be confirmed.

Electrochromatic Panels
The testing of electrochromatic panels is thought to have been under heavy utilisation on certain military vehicles and aircraft at Area 51.
These panels serve as ' cloaking devices ' and make a solid object appear to be invisible. How this is created is simple in real terms. Thousands of microscopic lens's are attached all over the object of whatever is meant to be made invisible. These lens's produce images of what ever is on the opposite side of the object and visa versa. This is done via a camera system and portray those images onto the side that you are looking at.
This in theory will make the object appear to be invisible. I believe that it got well past the theory stage in Area 51 !

Since the Roswell spacecraft ( 100% deniable ) incident in 1947 in New Mexico the US government have secretly been investigating UFO's.
A live alien had actually been rescued from the 1947 Roswell crash and he was named EBE by Dr Vannever Bush. short for Extraterrestrial Biological Entity. EBE, it is understood had a grasp of the English language and was subsequently interviewed over his time in ' captivity '
EBE had a tendency to tell lies and for over a year would give only the desired answer to questions asked. Those questions which would have resulted in an undesirable answer remained unanswered. At some point during the second year of captivity he began to open up and the information derived from EBE was startling, to say the least.
This compilation of his revelations became the foundation of what would later be called the "Yellow Book". Photographs were taken of EBE. In late 1951 EBE became ill. Medical personnel had been unable to determine the cause of EBE's illness becuase they had no medical background from which to draw any information from. EBE's system was chlorophyll based and he processed food into energy much in the same method as plants do. Waste material was also excreted in the same method as plants.
It was decided that an expert on botany was called for. A botanist, Dr. Guillermo Mendoza, was brought in to try and help him recover. Dr. Mendoza worked to save EBE until mid-1952 when unfortunately and sadly EBE died. For a time during his illness and after death the Americans beamed signals into space for help but the signals went unanswered. Dr. Mendoza became an expert on alien biology.
Apparently later in 1954 a race of large nosed gray aliens which had been orbiting the Earth landed at Holloman Air Force Base USA. This race identified themselves as originating from a planet around a red star in the Constellation of Orion which we call Betelgeuse.
There was a second landing at Edwards Air Force base. The historical event had been planned in advance and details of a treaty had been agreed upon. On the appointed day President Eisenhower was spirited away to Holloman Air Force Base and the excuse was given to the press that he was visiting a dentist for emergency treatment.
President Eisenhower met with the aliens and a formal treaty between the Alien Nation and the United States of America was signed. We then received our first Alien Ambassador from outer space. His name and title was His "Omnipotent Highness Krlll", pronounced Krill. In the American tradition of disdain for royal titles, he was secretly called "Original Hostage Krill ". The alien flag is known as the " Trilateral Insignia ". It is displayed on their craft and worn on their uniforms. Both of these landings and the second meeting were filmed. The films still exists today.
The Treaty stated: The aliens would not interfere in our affairs and we would not interfere in theirs. We would keep their presence on earth a secret. They would furnish us with advanced technology and would help us in our technological development. They would not make any treaty with any other earth nation.
They could abduct humans on a limited and periodic basis for the purpose of medical examination and monitoring of our development with the stipulation that the humans would not be harmed, would be returned to their point of abduction, that the humans would have no memory of the event, and that the alien nation would furnish the Government with a list of all human contacts and abductees on a regularly scheduled basis.
They had to abduct people as there was no volunteers for the aliens experiments. Not surprisingly.
All was agreed and on a satisfactory note the treaty was put into motion.
Krill delivered nine of his space ships to Area 51 for research and the abducting began. It is understood that the type of experiments carried out on humans were of the type that dabbled with DNA, Chromosomes, Genes, Hemoglobin, Semen and Hybrid-Genetics.
Is all of this hard to believe ? I don't think it is too impossible but if you start to dig too deep then you may expect character assassination, personal discredit, a visit from the Men In Black or a serious accident. Even Presidents are not safe with knowledge of this.

Apparently and according to some conspiracy groups, President J F Kennedy knew about the Alien Nation Treaty and subsequently wanted the world to know and thought it was foolish keeping this new source of technology a secret. It is thought that he was preparing a speech to that effect to be delivered possibly in Dallas Texas. That is why conspiracy theorists believe that NSA National Security Agency had him assassinated. The CIA and FBI could also have been involved somewhere down the line as they all use the same chamber pot !
It is thought that the technology available to the US Government is 100 years in advance to what they would have us think possible. Most of it due to their findings from alien space craft and technology.
