Mahindra Reva e2o Electric Car

Might help you preserve chunks of money

Mahindra Reva, the electric car firm, has launched their new and most awaited car, the e20 last week. The car is priced at Rs 5.96 lakh in Delhi after approval from state subsidy. There have been talks about the car enabling consumers to preserve chunks of money which can amount to a huge amount of Rs 4 lakhs by the end of 5 years. Let us figure out how much cash you can save with this car.
Mahindra e20
The e20 is a unique car which represents a new era in electric technology in cars. There has been information on the car being extremely cost efficient. The two door car with four seats is designed with the new generation lithium ion batteries and three phase induction electric motor. The car has an excellent mileage of 100 kms with just a single charge, and you can travel with no worries or hassles for five hours. The car is designed for pure city driving, and is equipped with GPS navigation system, keyless entry, start stop button and world class braking system which enables the battery to charge each time when the vehicle requires re-pumping.

According to information provided on the company’s website, the Mahindra Reva e20 is rolled out in five Indian states of Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Maharashtra and two Union Territories of Delhi and Chandigarh. Sources claim after contacting a dealer in Pune, the price of the e20 in Pune was revealed at INR 7.74 lakhs for the entry-level model. The Maharashtra Government does not offer 29% subsidy on electric cars as performed by the Delhi Government. The same scenario is followed by other states. The e20 in Ahmedabad in priced at INR 8.5 lakhs.

Based on the cost of ownership savings, there is a clear picture on how with the Reva you can save up to INR 3.84 lakhs by purchasing a new e20. The Tata Indica eV2LS which is inserted with a 1.4L diesel engine is priced at INR 5.20 lakhs and delivers an excellent mileage of 25 Kmpl. When you now compare this car to the e20, you can save 104,169 for the next five years. You are still spending INR 76,000 more on the e20 in Delhi, an increase of INR 2.54 lakhs in Pune and an increase of 3.30 lakhs in Ahmedabad.

With respect to maintenance, Mahindra Reva announces that you would need to service your e20 once a year and it is incorporated with lesser gears and break handles, but there is a minimal opportunity for wear and tear. The admirable fact of the e20 is the car does not require air filter, oil filter, and so on where you can save a huge figure of 75% on maintenance and servicing. The battery life too is incredible which can run for 5 years. Occupants would need to put down INR 2 lakhs every 5 years to change battery.

The e20 can be cost effective where you can save 75% on maintenance and servicing which is the most important aspect when you purchase a car. The car can operate at 100kms with only a single charge for five hours; in other cars you would need a fuel refill more often even when you travel for three hours.

LG Optimus L3 II Dual, Optimus L7 II

Dual price in India come out

LG has quietly rolled out the Optimus L3 II Dual (E435) and Optimus L7 II Dual (P715) on its official website, along with the price tags. For those who’re confused by the images we’ve posted below, the builds of these handsets which can handle two SIM cards, is different from those of the original versions which could only take one.
For those who are considering the less expensive of the two, the E435, the 102.9mm x 61.3mm x 11.9mm phone runs on Android Jelly Bean and gets its kick out of a 1GHz processor. It is helped along by 512MB of RAM and there’s an integrated 1540mAh Li-ion battery which offers the juice for up to 7 hours or talk time or 460 hours of standby time. Out of the 4GB onboard memory, 1.75GB is available to users. This means those with added hoarding needs can look to the microSD card slot for 32GB of extra space.
Optimus L3 II Dual
The front panel of the handset is decorated by a 3.2-inch True IPS touchscreen of a rather low 240 x 320p resolution as well as four capacitive buttons. Lastly, the 3MP fixed focus camera on the rear end should fulfill users’ basic photography cravings. Moving on to the higher end P715, the smartphone would be slightly difficult to distinguish from its sibling if it wasn’t for the larger dimensions of 122.2mm x 66.6mm x 9.7mm.
The device works on Jelly Bean 4.1 and like all similar offerings by the company, sports the home-brewed UI. It is fueled by a dual core chip which runs at 1GHz, and 768MB of RAM. Stretched across its face is a 800 x 480p, 4.3-inch True IPS touch display and there’s a VGA lens crowning the bezel. But this is not the only camera users get; an 8MP one is perched on the back panel. Finally, the 4GB of internal memory can be supplemented by a microSD card of 32GB.
Optimus L7 II Dual
At present, only Flipkart appears all geared up to stock the LG Optimus L7 II Dual and Optimus L3 II Dual. The tags on the manufacturer’s website stand at Rs. 18,650 and Rs. 8,800, respectively. But the online retailer indicates that buyers can get them for Rs. 14,990 and Rs. 7,899, whenever they’re made available.

Cryogenic technology

The technology of air separation with the help of cryogenic temperatures is by far not new. The principle of cryogenic plants operation is based on the air liquefaction and its subsequent separation with the recovery of nitrogen, oxygen, and argon.
This method of gas production is called deep air freezing. The feed air is initially compressed, and, after passing though the heat exchangers, is expanded in the turbine expander or on the expansion valve with the resulting temperature decrease down to the 93 °K point, where it is turned into liquid.
Subsequent separation of liquefied air, which mainly consists of liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen, is based on the difference in the boiling points of its components: oxygen — 90.18 °K, nitrogen — 77.36 °K. By gradual evaporation of liquid air, nitrogen is being preferentially evaporated, while the residual liquid is becoming increasingly saturated with oxygen. The process is then multiply repeated at the air separation rectifying tray with the production of liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon of the required purity.

Nirbhay Cruise Missile

India to Test ‘Nirbhay Cruise Missile, Develop Agni-V Variant with Mutliple Warhead Capabilities

Following the successful launch of the Agni-V missile, the state-run DRDO is gearing up for the first flight of the homegrown subsonic cruise missile Nirbhay.  Besides, DRDO is also working on equipping the recently tested Agni-V missile with multiple warheads.

As for the indigenously developed subsonic cruise missile Nirbhay, it has a range of 750 km to 1,000 km. Nirbhay is a two stage missile being developed by DRDO lab Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE). It is capable of carrying nearly two dozen different warheads as per the requirements and can be launched from multiple platforms including air, land and sea.

The Nirbhay missile is believed to have a length of 6.0 m, a body diameter of 0.5 m and a launch weight of 1,500 to 1,600 kilograms. Sources added that it has a payload of 450 kilograms and a cruise speed of between Mach 0.8 and Mach 0.9. According to reports, the missile has been described as being similar to the US RGM-109 Tomahawk and the Russian Club (SS-N-27).

Using its inertial navigation system for guidance, Nirbhay cruise missile has the ability to pick one target among multiple targets. Nirbhay cruise missile is specifically designed for Su-30 MKI and is equipped with ‘loitering’ capabilities. The aim is to heighten the capability of the Su-30 MKI which is already equipped with BrahMos supersonic cruise missile and Astra missile. The air-launched version of Nirbhay for Su-30MKI aircraft will complement the range and its strike capability.

DRDO has indicated that besides the engine, Nirbhay cruise missile has been developed indigenously and will be inducted into all the three Defence forces. According to sources, the private sector giant Tata may be building the launch vehicle for Nirbhay. A wheeled Transporter-Erector-Launcher (TEL) vehicle is also reported to be in development by the Research and Development Establishment (Engineering) at Pune.

On the other hand,  DRDO Chief Dr V K Saraswat has recently indicated that DRDO is developing capabilities to produce a variant of Agni-V missile which can hit multiple targets. Agni-V has been recently tested and it India's most powerful missile with a strike range of over 5,000 kilometers. Dubbed as Multiple Independently Targeted Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV), the Agni-V missile will be able to carry multiple warheads to destroy several targets. He added that the missile will remain the same and so will the first three stages of the missile. Only the kill vehicle or the payload delivery system will need changes.
